Welcome to Singapore—a vibrant, gorgeous, dynamic cosmopolitan where you can find sheer enjoyment from all aspects of life, be it food, nature, heritage, culture, and more.

You can navigate around Singapore easily using Google Maps

Public transport in Singapore is very accessible.

There are several ways to pay for your bus or MRT rides: contactless bank cards, mobile wallets, stored value cards, concession cards or cash. Children travel for free on basic bus services and trains if they are below 0.9m in height and are accompanied by a fare-paying commuter, or if they are using a Child concession card.

  • You can use your contactless credit/debit cards for fare payments. No registration is required. You will pay adult fares with contactless credit/debit cards. Visit https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltagov/en/getting_around/public_transport/ plan_your_journey.html for more information.
  • Charges for public transport rides will be reflected in your credit/debit card bills or bank account statement, similar to retail transactions. An admin fee will apply if you use cards issued outside of Singapore.

You can also get around Singapore by taxi or private-hire car. Download the Grab app, Comfort Zig app and set your location. Payment methods on these apps include paying cash on board or linked credit cards.
