To be part of the CMTF Plans and Policy team which participate in the formulation and implementation of new healthcare policies and workflows for the management of infectious diseases. In addition to planning efforts, the P&P team is also responsible for the documentation of policy changes and workflows, maintaining a repository of policy levers as part of knowledge management efforts. The team will comprise of individuals of diverse experiences, comfortable with operating amidst uncertainty and ambiguity, strong ability to understand and frame issues, and derive operational plans and tasks, in consultation with the TGs.
The interns will undergo a rigourous onboarding plan that the P&P officers go through to be equipped with the necessary working knowledge. Each intern will be assigned an existing staff as a mentor. This would be coupled with attendance of and note takings at weekly and monthly meetings such as those with Medical Operations Policy Centre (MOPC) for medical policies, Healthcare Finance (HF) for charging and finance related policy, Advanced Ops Branch (AOB CSOG) for future plans, as well as daily huddles and weekly meetings with the Task Groups (TG) and their cells to understand their internal processes and worflows.
The interns will be exposed and assist the regular staff with research and provision of inputs as part of the plans and policy formulation process. The interns would be expected to draft clear and workable work processes that span TG and other MOH stakeholders.
The key takeaway from the internship would be: planning in times of uncertainty and ambiguity, exposure to operational matters related to dealing with a medical crisis, deriving sustainable and agile workflow, and a better understanding and appreciation of how this sector of healthcare deals with medical crisis.

Claims Management Office (CMO) | Application deadline: 18 May 2023

The CMO was set up to adjudicate MediShield Life (MSHL) claims and develop Claim Rules (CR). The intern will be assigned to assist in analytics, communications, or the obtaining and preparation of claims documents and
other tasks that promote department objectives.
- Consolidation and analysis of claims and stakeholder engagement data
- Report writing, copywriting & design
- Collection and review of notes and reports to accurately prepare them for adjudication
- Provision of administrative support e.g. coordination for meetings, note-taking, logistics, document retrieval
- Meticulous with an eye for detail. Familiarity with data analytics, corporate communications, or public relations will be preferred.
