Seminar: Multifunctional Membrane Platform for Environmental and Bio Applications

The presentation on this bio related area will include MF membrane selection and functionalization aspects to the reduction of processing times. In the environmental remediation area, the pore functionalization approaches involving charge interaction groups will allow treatment of complex water streams to recovery of valuable metals and capture highly dilute toxic materials. This aspect of presentation will include membrane filter media functionalization techniques with carboxylic or amine groups, nano-structured metals and applications on PFAS and metal captures. In addition, catalytic aspects of toxic organic hydrogenation will be discussed.
