ICOM 2026 Award Recipient – Asst Prof Ye Chunchun

Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) congratulates Nanyang Assistant Professor Ye Chunchun on receiving the North American Membrane Society (NAMS) Young Membrane Scientist Award at the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM 2026).

The award recognises outstanding researchers who are within five years of completing their PhD and are making important early-career contributions to membrane science and technology. Asst Prof Ye was one of three recipients selected for the 2026 award and presented her research during a special award session at the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM 2026) in San Antonio, USA.

As part of the award, Professor Ye presented her research during a dedicated award session at ICOM 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.

“I am deeply honoured to receive the NAMS Young Membrane Scientist Award at this important stage of my career, as I begin my independent research journey and build my group at NTU. I am sincerely grateful to my former supervisors, mentors, collaborators and colleagues, whose guidance and support have shaped my research and the way I approach science. I would also like to thank NTU, CEE and NEWRI for their trust and strong support in helping me begin this new chapter in Singapore. I look forward to growing with my team and developing membrane technologies that can make a meaningful difference beyond the laboratory.” said Asst Prof Ye
