FIRST LKCMEDICINE-SAN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY JOINT NEUROSCIENCE WORKSHOP

On 23 November 2021, LKCMedicine held the first LKCMedicine Joint Neuroscience Workshop with The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University (FAH-SYSU) China, via Zoom. Attended by LKCMedicine’s neuroscience community and their FAH-SYSU counterparts, the event kicked-off with opening remarks by NTU Senior Vice-President (Health & Life Sciences) and LKCMedicine Dean Professor Joseph Sung, and Professor Xiao Haipeng, Executive Vice-President, Sun Yat-sen University and President, FAH-SYSU. This was followed by an introduction by FAH-SYSU Vice-President & Director of Neurology Professor Zeng Jinsheng on the Department of Neurology in FAH-SYSU. LKCMedicine Professor George Augustine then gave an overview of the School’s Neuroscience & Mental Health Research Programme. The event concluded with a discussion on future collaborations and closing remarks from both LKCMedicine and FAH-SYSU faculty. This joint workshop is planned as a series and will be continued in 2022.
