 The fight continues

Just when we thought the worst is over, a fast and furious spread of the COVID-19 virus in May, and again in July, ruined all plans that we have for a gradual recovery to our old ways of living.

No one can say for sure what will happen in the remaining months of 2021. But we know our government is working hard to pivot our lives to a new normal until the pandemic becomes endemic before it is (if at all possible) fully eradicated.

This year, again the organisation of the White Coat Ceremony and Convocation, two key events that mark significant milestones for our new and graduating medical students, have been disrupted. But the mission of the School remains. And we are staying focused on providing the best education experience to our new and current students, while ensuring research in the labs go uninterrupted.

A warm welcome for our new 168 students and heartiest congratulations to the Class of 2021 who will graduate in September, if all goes well in the next few weeks. We are confident that all of you will live up to the School’s vision of becoming doctors that you and I would like to have caring for us.
