Biography
Sabina Sudan is a corporate lawyer with over 25 years of professional experience – 15 in Legal (India and the US), where she advised different industries, and since 2005, with a focus on global Ethics & Compliance, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Ethical Leadership.
 
She has lived and worked in India, New York, Arizona, and Singapore, and traveled to over 60 countries, mostly on business. Starting 2015, she has been a Consultant and, since 2016, an adjunct professor at:
  
Nanyang Business School, NTU, Singapore (BBA, FT MBA, PMBA and MiniMasters)
The Business School at the National University of Singapore (NUS) (Masters program) and Visiting Faculty at the Global Risk Management Institute in Gurgaon, India.
   
Sabina has also been Guest Faculty at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (2017 & 2019) and the Seton Hall Law AsiaPac Healthcare Compliance Certification Program in Singapore (2016)
  
She currently operates from Singapore and Delhi.
  
Sabina continues to be a speaker/panelist for corporate clients, webinars, and conferences and provides consulting on ethical and legal issues. She is qualified to practice law in New York (1991), Arizona (1991), and Delhi (1985).
  
From Nov 2010 to Feb 2015, Sabina was the Vice President / Ethics & Compliance Officer, Pharma International (all markets ex-US) with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) based out of Singapore. Sabina supported President Pharma International and all the Area Business Directors. She was a member of the Area and Regional Leadership Teams.
  
From July 2005 to September 2010, she was a Director of Ethics & Compliance with Abbott Labs and supported the Pacific Africa Asia (PAA) region. She successfully rolled out an international compliance program across PAA as early as 2005. She designed policies and procedures for the ethics and compliance program. She worked with senior leaders in the region and the country to reinforce an ethical culture with a strong emphasis on anti-bribery/the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the elements of an effective compliance program.
 
During her tenure at Abbott and GSK, Sabina provided training on anti-corruption, codes of conduct, conflicts of interest, values-based decision-making, and related topics at country/area/regional meetings that included senior leadership.
 
She co-anchored "India Business Week", a weekly program on Star TV broadcast to 59 countries in the Far East, South Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, from August 1998 – September 1999 where she researched business issues to help define program content and conducted in studio interviews with business and corporate leaders, government ministers and officials and authors.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Psychology Major, First Div.) from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.
 
In October 2010, she completed a trek to the Everest Base Camp.

  • From May 15, 2000-Oct 15, 2001 & May 7, 2003-Jul 22, 2005, Sabina was the General Counsel for UGO Networks, Inc. in New York  and was part of the Senior Management Team.   For a year, Sabina moved to the role of a Legal Consultant (Feb 2002-Apr 2003). She advised UGO, an on-line media network with affiliated content publishers; supported External Counsel in raising approximately US $30 mm Venture Fund financing in June 2001; and, coordinated with Investors and Board Members. She was part of the M&A team in the acquisition of entertainment content websites, the sale of the e-commerce division to a major video game retailer and the sale of a subsidiary.  UGO, founded in April 1997, was acquired by the Hearst Corporation in 2007.
