From Italian to French: PhD Student Olga Carlino Expands Her Multilingual Repertoire

PhD student in History Ms Olga Carlino has added another language to her impressive multilingual repertoire after taking French classes at NTU’s Centre for Modern Languages (CML). A native Italian speaker, Olga already has a strong command of English, Chinese and Spanish, with qualifications including IELTS C1 in English, B2/C1-level proficiency in Chinese and DELE C1 in Spanish.
Through her studies at CML, Olga has taken her French to full native-level proficiency, adding a fifth language to her repertoire. Her achievement reflects the opportunities available at NTU for students to pursue language learning alongside their academic studies, while developing skills that enrich their experiences across cultures and disciplines.
Congratulations, Olga!
