Summary of co​urse content

In the final trimester, you will do a research project under the following arrangements:
  1. Supervision of a faculty member from NTU SBS or BII
  2. Industry or self-sourced projects are allowed (but only under co-supervision arrangements and subject to approval from course administration)
A final report and defense will serve as evaluative checkpoints for the practicum.

Aims and objectives

This course provides students the foundations of Deep Learning to enable them to use Deep Learning tools for biomedical applications. The skill sets acquired in this course includes:
  1. To appreciate the practice-theory gap when applying what is learnt to what is practical/relevant in the real world scenario
  2. To deepen technical skill
  3. To acquire non-academic abilities that can only be honed by working in an actual environment
