FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation
In a world reshaped by disruptive technologies and rapid global shifts, staying competitive requires more than keeping up—it calls for adaptability, innovation, and a forward-thinking mindset. This FlexiMasters programme is suitable for current and aspiring tech innovators and startup founders, as well as corporate executives and civil servants who wish to broaden their competencies and make a difference in the future economy. Upon completing the programme, learners will have a basic understanding of the science and arts of entrepreneurship, acquire knowledge of emerging technologies, and gain insights of startup and funding strategy for lifelong professional upskilling. This FlexiMasters is also stackable to the MSc in Technopreneurship and Innovation, providing a pathway for those looking to further their academic and professional journey.

Programme Structure
- The programme consists of five courses worth a total of 15 Academic Units (AUs).
- Assessment(s) will be conducted during every course and learners will be graded based on their performance in the assessment(s). Assessment(s) may include class participation, group project, assignments and final examination.
- No pre-requisites are needed to enroll in the Fleximasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation. However, participants without qualifications or working experience in finance or technical field may find the course contents challenging. In addition, applicants who have explicit intention to upgrade to Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation (MSc TIP) and would like to receive the preliminary conditional admission offer of MSc TIP concurrently with the FlexiMasters admission offer, a separate application for admission to the master's programme is required.
- Mode of class delivery: Online, NTU e-Learning platform
Upon successful completion, the following qualifications will be awarded:
- A FlexiMasters will be awarded to learners attaining 15 AUs, and achieving a minimum Grade Point of 2.5 (which is equivalent to a letter grade of C+) for each course.
- A Graduate Certificate will be awarded to learners attaining 9 AUs, with a minimum Grade Point of 2.5 (which is equivalent to a letter grade of C+) for each course
Pathway to the Master's programme:
Credits earned are valid for 5 years for transfer of credits to the MSc in Technopreneurship and Innovation. The minimum Grade Point eligible for transfer of credits to the MSc in Technopreneurship and Innovation is 3.5 (which is equivalent to a letter grade of B). Transfer of credits is by application and the application will be assessed and approved by the University in accordance with University Credits Transfer and Course Exemption Policy.

To meet the requirement of SkillsFuture Singapore, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course.

Instructor for: Introduction to Entrepreneurship | Mr Jason is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and practitioner faculty in 48 universities in UK, USA, France, Australia, and Singapore with more than 2 decades of experiences. His primary venture, The Guild of Storytellers Pte Ltd has represented the University of Cambridge (England) for Entrepreneurship to the British Royal Family in The Royal Visit in 2018. Jason is an alumnus of University of Cambridge (MSt), Imperial College London (MBA) and a Life member of the Oxbridge Society.

Instructor for: Entrepreneurial Marketing and Business Development | Dr Lim Boon Chong is a Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Business School, NTU, with over two decades of experience in academia and industry. Holding a PhD from Nanyang Technological University and a BBA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore, Dr Lim has an extensive background in marketing and entrepreneurship. His research focuses on consumer behaviour, SME marketing technologies, and food sustainability. Dr Lim has published in renowned journals and contributed to multiple case studies and trade journals. He has also served as an advisor and consultant for various organizations, bringing practical insights to his teaching and research.

Instructor for: Managing Growing Ventures | Dr Xia Zhiqiang is the Academic Director and Postgraduate & Undergraduate Programmes Lead at the NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur). He oversees the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation programme (MSc TIP) and provides strategic direction to the management and operation of the MiE and SMiE programmes. He has won recognition for developing educational partnership with top international universities and institutions, as well as overseas entrepreneurship immersion and international venture competitions. He is an Adjunct Professor of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as the President of International Council for Small Business (Singapore Chapter) from 2015 to 2017. He has helped many entrepreneurs and startups in securing venture funding or strategizing business growth or international development. In 2019, he received the Commendation Medal (Education) on Singapore's National Day. |

| Dr Siri is an accomplished finance and economics educator with over 27 years of teaching experience. She has taught at Nanyang Business School, NTU, and currently lectures at both NTU and Singapore Management University (SMU). She has also held faculty positions at leading institutions in the US and Thailand, including the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and Chulalongkorn University. Before entering academia, Dr Siri built a distinguished career in the international financial services sector. Her positions included Economist at the World Bank in Washington D.C., Vice President for Treasury at Bangkok Bank, and CEO of Golden Land Properties, where she played a key role in the company’s public listing. She later co-founded a boutique business consulting firm in the US and continues her consulting services for international clients. Dr Siri is passionate about teaching and has won multiple teaching awards. From 2016 to 2020, she served as the Academic Director for the Nanyang Fellow MBA Programme. Her research interests focus on financial and economic issues in Asia, ASEAN, and the Euro Area. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Master’s in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) from Chulalongkorn University. |
![]() Instructor for: Technopreneurial Mindset | Mr Kelvin is a seasoned technopreneur and currently is the CEO and Co-founder of a Singapore-based deep tech company specialising in Generative AI and Computer Vision Solutions. The company is dipping into the space of Generative AI and developing text2video and image2video solutions to revolutionise the video advertising industry. The company is also exploring AI possibilities to make lives simpler, smarter, and safer in video analytics with focus on the Public Safety & Security and Smart Cities. Previously, he founded & exited a consultancy dedicated to assisting clients with concept development and experimentation. He is also an adjunct lecturer at NTU, a former military officer with diplomatic experience, and an active volunteer awarded three State Medals for service. |
