Winners of Young Scientist Award at E-MRS - Chen Bo and Zhang Xiao

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Mr Chen Bo and Mr Zhang Xiao, who are PhD students of Professor Zhang Hua, for winning the “Young Scientist Award” at the E-MRS 2016 Spring Meeting. The award was given in recognition of their outstanding papers, which were contributed at the E-MRS 2016 Spring Meeting.

 

Mr Chen Bo presented his paper entitled “Carbon materials: surface chemistry and biomedical applications II” at Symposium P. Mr Zhang Xiao presented his paper entitled “Solution processing and properties of functional oxide thin films and nanostructures II” at Symposium AA.

The European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) is a global professional society which encourages scientists, engineers and research managers to exchange information on functional materials on an interdisciplinary platform. It also recognizes professional and technical excellence by promoting awards for achievement from student to senior scientist level. The E-MRS Spring Meeting, which is organized every year, is widely recognized as the meeting with the highest international significance and is the greatest of its kind in Europe. 

 

The European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Award programme, which presents the Young Scientist Award, strives to acknowledge outstanding young scientists who contribute to the progress of materials research. It also recognizes their exciting and profound accomplishments in materials research.
