Winner of the Ian Ferguson Postgraduate Fellowship 2016 – Liu Zhiyuan

We are pleased to announce that Mr Liu Zhiyuan, PhD student of Professor Chen Xiaodong, has been awarded the Ian Ferguson Postgraduate Fellowship 2016. His area of research is in strain-induced conductivity and stretchability and his PhD project title is ‘Flexible Devices for Neuron Interface’. He will be attached to Professor Bao Zhenan’s research group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University.

The Ian Ferguson Postgraduate Fellowship was established in 2006 with an endowed gift of $250,000 from the Ian Ferguson Foundation to NTU. Since its inception, deserving MSE PhD students have benefited from this fellowship. These fellowships are awarded to outstanding MSE PhD students to carry out research attachments at reputable overseas universities.
