MSE Faculty Ranked World's Top 2% Scientists 2022
We are pleased to share that 25 MSE and Cross-Appointment faculty members have been ranked World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022 in the latest metrics compiled by Stanford University, performed using Scopus data by Elsevier through ICSR Lab (link).
The report, published on 10th October 2022, was prepared by a team of experts led by Professor John Ioannidis, the Eminent Professor at Stanford University.
The team created a database of the top 100,000 (2%) scientists worldwide based on standardised information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
They were grouped into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields.
The c-score focuses on impact (citations) rather than productivity (no. of publications), and it also incorporates information on co-authorship and author positions (single, first, last author).
