Panasonic R&D Center Singapore aspires to harness the powerful combination of wireless, autonomous, 3D computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies to deliver seamless connectivity and intelligent sensing solutions for people and machines. Current research activities include 60GHz V2X for instant bulk data upload and sensor data streaming, private LTE/5G and LPWA system for industrial IoT applications, and image processing AI.

In the area of AI, Panasonic R&D Center Singapore's expertise and interest ranges from Machine Learning to Deep Learning, encompassing visual recognition, 3D traffic scene understanding, human face/body sensing, and object sensing. In addition, Panasonic R&D Center Singapore has conducted earlier test bedding projects with Singapore government agencies, under the initiative of Smart Nation and Safety and Security Industry Programme.
