The Centre for Information Sciences and Systems is a key research centre established within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. It houses several key labs and research programmes to support Singapore vision of becoming a Smart Nation. These include the Smart Nation Lab, ROSE (Rapid-Rich Object Search) Lab, Connected Smart Mobility (COSMO) Lab, Schaeffler Hub for Advanced REsearch (SHARE), and other topics like 5G communications and cybersecurity.
What We Do
We advance research and innovation in key technologies, comprising Data, Image & Video Analytics, Advanced Sensing Technologies, Cyber & Network Security, Positioning & RF Technologies, and Communication & Network Systems. Our faculty members, research staff and graduate students are actively collaborating with government agencies and industry partners to conduct R&D works that have the outcome of deploying technologies in the real world.
We strive to extract information from large amount of unstructured data produced by ubiquitous sensors and systems to make prediction and decision, while preserving security and privacy in the DIDI (digital, interconnected, distributed and intelligent) society.
