Biography
Tan How Choon is a Chartered accountants with about 40 years of experience in IT strategic planning and management, IT project management, forensic accounting, and financial investigation. He has held several senior management positions with MNCs and the public sector, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief IT Auditor.
Previously, he was an Adjunct Associate Professor with the National University of Singapore Business School's MBA programme, Australian National University's Master of International Management programme, University of Newcastle's MBA programme, James Cook University's MBA programme, and Edinburg Business School's MBA programme.

How Choon graduated from Nanyang University with a B. Com. degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science. Subsequently, he obtained an MSc (Management of Technology) (NUS) and MBA (Accountancy) (NTU) while gaining a scholarship from the National Computer Board.
  
Industry Experience
  • Co-chairs and serves as an examiner of the ISCA’s Forensic Accounting committee.
  • Designed, programmed, and implemented the first Enterprise Resource Planning System in Singapore
  • Involved in several key national strategic planning projects with National Computer Board (NCB)
  • Implemented the largest ever investigative computer system and data center for Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Led the team to implement the new NRIC (National Registration Identity Card) System cum AFIS (Automatic Fingerprint Identification System) for Singapore Government. 
  • Nominated by NCB to participate in the first draft of Computer Misused Act (now Computer Misused and Cyber Security Act).
  • Partner/Director with Rohan Mah & Partner LLP and Managing Partner of Business Digital Consulting LLP.
  • Senior Training Consultant with CPIB.
