In Memoriam: Professor Eddie Kuo
The School of Humanities is saddened by the passing of Emeritus Professor Eddie Kuo, Founding Dean of WKWSCI, on 23 March at the age of 85.
A pivotal figure in the School’s history, Professor Kuo shaped WKWSCI’s early direction, built its programmes, and helped establish it as a leading centre for communication and media studies. He also made significant contributions to NTU and Singapore’s higher education landscape, including serving as Acting Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at NTU and Founding Head of Mass Communication at NUS.
Professor Kuo’s legacy remains deeply embedded in WKWSCI and will continue to inspire future generations.
