Azila Rozaini wins NTU Graduate College’s Collaborative Research Award (AY 25-26) for Joint Research Work
A huge congratulations to MA Student Azila Rozaini for being selected as the winner of the NTU Graduate College’s Collaborative Research Award for AY 2025-2026!
Azila was co-supervised by Assistant Professor Cheryl Julia Lee and Associate Professor Graham Matthews. As part of a Social Science Research Thematic Grant (SSRTG)-supported Medical Humanities project, Azila worked with researchers, healthcare professionals, social service agencies, and arts practitioners to address mental health stigma in Singapore. Through a series of multidisciplinary and cross-sector roundtables, she helped facilitate dialogue between stakeholders from diverse fields, generating insights that informed the development of guidelines for cultural producers on the representation of mental health. This collaborative project highlights the value of bringing together expertise from the humanities, healthcare, and creative sectors to address complex societal challenges and strengthen connections between research, practice, and community.
About The Award
The Graduate College awards are given annually to the most deserving graduating students for their achievements during their studies at NTU, and to their advisors. The Collaborative Research Award recognises graduate students who have established joint research activities with other groups in NTU (engagement through peers, research fellows, faculty, etc.) that led to important discoveries or other tangible outcomes.
