News | Wen-Qing Ngoei on what to expect at the 2019 Shangri-La Dialogue
China is sending its first top-level delegation to the Shangri-La Dialogue in eight years. The dialogue, organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, a British think tank, gathers top military represenatives from around the world to Singapore to discuss pressing military issues. Wen-Qing Ngoei, an assistant professor in the School Of Humanities at NTU, said that the meeting would allow high level officials to put the brake on escalations and tensions and get to a point where they can converse candidly, and perhaps resolve some of the pressing issues.
