​News | NTU student discovers 700-year-old Thai ceramic fragment

NTU History student Caroline Ang discovered a ceramic fragment that appeared to be 700-years old from the ancient Thai kingdom of Ayutthaya. Ang is one of the student volunteers assisting in excavation work at the archaeological site at Fort Canning Park. The team is led by NUS’ John Miksic and NTU’s Goh Geok Yian (History). The National Parks Board had invited the team to conduct the excavation before the site is closed for upgrading works.
