News | Experiencing the daily life of the visually impaired

Wang Zhe Xi (transliteration) and Zhang Mei Lin (transliteration) have formed a group known as Team Alluvial to provide participants an experience of how it would be like to experience daily living as a visually impaired individual. They hope to raise awareness on the visually impaired and so far, they have reached out to 30 students from Hougang Secondary School and 25 employees from the Prime Minister’s office. Wang is a linguistics student from NTU, who is also minoring in communications. He had juvenile open-angle glaucoma as a secondary school student, which affected his sight. Zhang is a communications and new media student from NUS. She has a hearing impairment.
