​News | Atiqah is excellent in languages

Since young, Ms Siti Nur Atiqah Abdul Hadi has been exposed to several languages. Her mother would talk to her in Malay, while her father would speak to her in English. From there, she grew interested in learning languages. The eldest of three siblings, Atiqah tried learning not just English and Malay in school, but also Mandarin and German. Her love for language brought her to NUS, where she did English Literature, but realised that there was more to language learning, and decided to pursue the Linguistics and Multilingual Studies in NTU. She will graduate with an Honours (Highest Distinction). She will start her new job at the Attorney-General Chambers, and hopes to pursue further studies. If given the chance, she hopes to do Applied Linguistics at the University of Melbourne.
