Prof Nikolay Zheludev elected as Fellow of the Hagler Institute for Advanced Study

 

IAS Distinguished Fellow Prof Nikolay Zheludev is among eight Hagler Fellows elected for 2021-22, including a recipient of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics. The Hagler Institute for Advanced Study at Texas A&M selects its Fellows from among top scholars who have distinguished themselves through outstanding professional accomplishments or significant recognition, to perform research collaboration and have a productive impact on the faculty, students and the culture of the Texas A&M campus.

Prof Zheludev is a Fellow of the Royal Society and Member of the USA National Academy of Engineering. He won numerous prizes for his research in nanophotonics and metamaterials including the 2020 President’s Science Award (Singapore). He is the Director of the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies and Co-Director of The Photonics Institute at NTU Singapore, as well as Deputy Director at the Zepler Institute, University of Southampton.
