The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) gifted $350,000 to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for the establishment of the IES-Wong Yui Cheong Research in Construction Project Management Fund.

 

The IES-Wong Yui Cheong Research in Construction Project Management Fund will build on NTU’s strengths in project management to support two postgraduate research projects in Construction Project Management at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). It aims to shape and establish new standards and practices for construction project management in Singapore.

 

“We are most grateful to Er. YC Wong, his family and IES for the gift and the strong support to research on project management. We believe the outcome of this research will create new knowledge and benefit our construction industries. Er. Wong was the adjunct professor at our school teaching project management. Our students and faculty have benefited significantly from his teaching and his vast experience. We thank Er. Wong and his family for the continuing support to NTU," said Prof Chu Jian, Chair of School of CEE.
