The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at NTU is at the forefront of shaping the Sustainable Built Environment. With over 60 distinguished faculty members, more than 1,500 students, and an expanding portfolio of education and research activities. We are ranked 9^th in the world and 3^rd in Asia for Civil and Structural Engineering in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject.

Our faculty spearhead pioneering initiatives—from advancing environmental and water technologies to leading breakthroughs in underground space creation, land reclamation, and hazard-related earth sciences. Supported by over S$350 million in competitive research funding, we work at the cutting edge of membranes, microbiology, environmental chemistry, protective technologies, and climate resilience. Looking ahead, we are tackling the critical challenges of tomorrow: sustainable urban cities, advanced building and energy systems, and resilience against natural and man-made risks.
