Certificate Programme in Carbon Credit Quality and Due Diligence
Are Your Carbon Investments Making a Real Impact?
Understanding carbon credit quality and conducting due diligence on carbon credit projects is a critical pre-condition to a variety of commercial decisions. At the simplest level, this can be useful for a business seeking to purchase carbon credits for the purpose of supporting its own climate goals (e.g. compensation, neutralisation) whilst protecting its own reputation.
More broadly, such skillsets are also important across a variety of other commercial decisions such as:
- investing in and/or financing of carbon credit projects
- risk management; treasury or control functions
- professional advisory services related to carbon credit transactions
- strategic decisions around asset allocation
- project development and design considerations with a view towards developing high-quality assets
Organised by Nanyang Business School, the Certificate Programme in Carbon Credit Quality and Due Diligence is a comprehensive course designed for professionals who are eager to dive deeper into the core elements of carbon credit quality and the practical steps required for conducting due diligence.
Over four days, participants will gain a detailed understanding of the core elements that impact carbon credit quality; become familiar with key project documentation; and be introduced to various analytical tools. They will examine and discuss case studies of both good and bad quality with hands-on opportunity to put into practice the lessons learned.
