Regional youth leaders discuss social issues and challenges at the workplace

The University Scholars Programme at NTU Singapore, supported by Temasek Foundation, is hosting the Youth Regional Affairs Dialogue 2023 from 16-23 July, to discuss social issues and challenges faced by youths at the workplace in Asia.
The eight-day programme brings together more than 60 regional youth leaders from Asia and Singapore, including from leading universities like Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), The University of Hong Kong, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and more.
Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Law, Mr Edwin Tong, was the Guest-of-Honour for the opening on Tue, 18 July, where he delivered a keynote speech.
This year, the dialogue's focus is on Social Issues in the World of Trades and Jobs, a theme highly relevant to the participants as they enter the workforce upon graduation. Topics on the agenda include Culture & Identity, Environment & Sustainability, and Intergenerational Divide.
Participants will also have the opportunity to embark on learning journeys at workplaces like marketing agency, First Page Digital and Temasek Shophouse. They will also hear from outstanding young leaders on how they overcame challenges while working on socially impactful initiatives.
