On 15 November 2024, the Utrecht University Future Food Program and NTU jointly hosted an online symposium centered.

The symposium was centered around three themes: the nutritional value of novel-and alternative protein and personalised nutrition, microbiome and immunology, and food safety and medical risk assessment of novel and alternative proteins.

Faculty members from LKCMedicine — Prof Lim Kah Leong, Assoc Profs Yusuf Ali, Sunny Wong, and Baptiste Janela, and Asst Prof Shen Xiaotao — presented alongside their counterparts from Utrecht University, facilitating a rich exchange of insights on nutrition and health.
