The NTU Food Research ecosystem is a vibrant network of over 60 faculty members from various colleges, schools, and research centres in the university. This diverse and collaborative community brings together expertise from multiple disciplines, creating a holistic and comprehensive approach to addressing food security, sustainability, and safety.

Our integrated system fosters innovation and drives impactful research that benefits both local and global communities.

Mission

Integrate the experience and knowledge of all food R&D across NTU

Translate efforts through agencies and businesses to ensure provision of secured, sustainable, safe, and nutritious food for all

Educate future leaders in food research, food economy, food policy and food politics

By integrating expertise in food research across NTU, we aim to develop solutions that bring together technological innovations with the social dimensions and costs of real-world implementation. This ensures the translation of our  research into effective outcomes across the areas of food production, sustainability, safety, nutrition, and health. 

NTU-FRS works together with the Singapore Food Agency and A*STAR to promote and enhance food research. Our international partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) also underscores our commitment to ensure research breakthroughs benefit the global community.
