Ensuring the integrity and safety of our food supply is essential to global challenges facing food security. Our research focuses on developing innovative technologies and methodologies to revolutionise food safety testing, making it more accurate, efficient, and ethical. Beyond food safety, our research also evaluates the nutrition and health impacts of new food solutions, particularly in urban populations. By offering guidance on food that are nutrient-dense and health-promoting, our goal is to enhance nutrition for products and consumers, especially in ageing societies.
We collaborate closely with partners, such as the Singapore Food Agency, A*STAR, and WHO, in a shared commitment to advance in food safety risk assessment and nutrition for global communities. A key part of our work is the Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH), an integrated technology platform for food safety and risk assessment at NTU. Through our research, we are shaping the future of food safety and nutrition.
