Prof William Chen invited to discuss Next Generation Food Safety Risk Assessment at CFSA in China
Prof William Chen was invited to present at the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) on 09 July 2026.
As China's national-level technical institution for food safety risk assessment, CFSA plays a key role in strengthening the scientific foundations of food safety management and advancing food safety risk assessment in China.
The visit centered on a discussion titled “Towards the New Generation Food Safety Risk Assessment: From AI‑Powered Predictive Modelling to New Approach Methodologies (NAMs)”. During the discussion, Prof Chen shared FRESH@NTU’s work in developing proactive AI‑enabled food safety monitoring systems and advancing New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for food safety assessment.
