As part of NTU's efforts to develop and grow future leaders and experts in food research, we are committed to training and providing opportunities for students to pursue opportunities and studies in the area of food research. Second Major in Food Science & Technology
This prestigious programme enables undergraduates students in selected schools to study Food Science & Technology (FST) as a Second Major, in partnership with the Wageningen University & Research (WUR), the Netherlands.
Students from the degree programmes in Bioengineering and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology), Biological Sciences (School of Biological Sciences), and Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) may apply.
The Food Technology programme at WUR is considered one of the best and most innovative programmes in its field in Europe, offering high-level courses and research in all areas of food science, spanning technical fields such as Process Engineering or Chemistry, to fields with a more economic and sociological focus such as Marketing and Gastronomy.
As part of the FST programme, students will be taught by faculties from WUR with coordinators at NTU, and will also benefit from opportunities for networking in the local food industry and study trips to Wageningen University.
