LKCMedicine Anatomy & Physiology Workshop for Pre-University Students [17 - 18 June]

LKCMedicine is organising the inaugural LKCMedicine Anatomy & Physiology Workshop for Pre-University Students in June, to be conducted by our distinguished faculty. The two-day workshop offers hands-on interactive sessions and practical demonstrations looking into the structure and function of the human body, focussing on the cardiorespiratory and gastrointestinal systems. Participants will learn using LKCMedicine's innovative teaching tools and cutting-edge learning facilities.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this two-day workshop, the workshop participant will be able to:
- identify the bones and muscles of the thoracic wall
- describe the topographic anatomy of the lungs and heart
- understand the organisation and functions of different components of the airway
- describe the mechanism of respiration
- recall the nerve supply and blood supply to the airways and heart
- describe the concept of referred pain
- identify the bony and cartilaginous landmarks visible or palpable on the abdominal wall
- recall the descriptive regions of the abdomen including the surface projections of the abdominal organs
- summarise the structure and function of the stomach, small and large intestines including their location, vascular, lymphatic and nerve supply
- describe the position and functional anatomy of the liver and pancreas
- recall the structures associated with the bile secretion and its flow

Registration
Places are limited to five students per institution.
Registration fee is $30 per student. LKCMedicine will invoice the institution when the completed registration form is received.
