Transitioning from postdoctoral research to leading an independent laboratory can be challenging. To support early-career group leaders through this important career transition, the LKCMedicine Office of Faculty Affairs is pleased to co-organise EMBO's Starting Your Own Lab programme, which equips participants with the practical skills and insights needed to establish and manage their first lab successfully.

Delivered by Petra Pandur and Diana Baumann from Leadership sculptor, this highly interactive workshop covers topics such as resource allocation, project and people management, team culture, recruitment, delegation, feedback, collaboration, negotiation, and time management. Participants will have opportunities to apply and practise these concepts throughout the course.
