    This list of medals and Prizes available for MAE students are:

    BP Book Prize​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with highest total aggregate marks for 'MA0101 Engineers and Society' and 'MA4079 Final Year Project' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    Bechtel Book Prize​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student who is first in general proficiency throughout the part-time programme at the University for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    Bechtel Gold Medal

    The medal is awarded to a final year student with highest aggregate marks in any two major prescribed electives from the Manufacturing Engineering specialisation for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering):

    • MA4838 Non-conventional Manufacturing Processes

    ​DNV Maritime Book Prize

    The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student with highest aggregate marks for the following naval architecture courses in the final year examination for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering):

    • MA4807 Marine Structural lnlegrity
    • MA4808 Marine Control Systems
    Dr Leung Shiu Kee Gold Medal​The medal is awarded to an outstanding final year student who has a distinguished record in both academic and extra-curricular activities throughout the programme of study at the University: and who has demonstrated excellence in 'MA4079 Final Year Project' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    DSO National Laboratories Gold Medal cum Cash
    Award
    ​The medal cum cash award is awarded to the best graduating student with highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering).
    ExxonMobil Gold Medal​The medal is awarded to a student who has obtained the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) in the final year examination for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    FMC Technologies Book Prize (MA4871)​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a graduating student who has obtained the highest aggregate mark in 'MA4871 Non-destructive Testing' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    FMC Technologies Book Prize (MA4845)The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a graduating student who has obtained the highest aggregate mark in 'MA4845 Manufacturing Automation' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering {Mechanical Engineering).
    FMC Technologies Book Prize (MA4807)​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a graduating student who has obtained the highest aggregate mark in 'MA4807 Marine Structural Integrity' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    FMC Technologies Book Prize (MA4808)​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a graduating student who has obtained the highest aggregate mark in 'MA4808 Marine Control Systems' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    FMC Technologies Gold Medal  cum Cash AwardThe medal cum cash award is awarded to a top graduate in the Mainstream who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering {Mechanical Engineering).
    JTC Gold Medal

    ​The medal cum cash award is awarded to an outstanding final year student in the Mechanical Engineering degree programme and who has achieved the highest aggregate marks for:

    Keppel Offshore and Marine Book Prize​The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a graduating student who has obtained the highest mark in 'MA4856 Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering' for tho degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    Keppel Offshore & Marine Gold Medal cum Cash Award 

    The medal cum cash award is awarded lo a graduate who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with highest aggregate mark in 'MA4856 Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering' and any two prescribed electives from the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering specialisation for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering):

    Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award
    ​The prize is awarded to a top NTU student who has achieved excellent academic
    performance, displayed strong leadership ability and demonstrated potential for contributing to society.
    Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal
    (AE or ME)
    The medal is awarded to a student who is first in general proficiency throughout the programme of study and has been awarded a First Class Honours for the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering).
    Meinhardt Book PrizeThe book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student who has obtained the highest aggregate marks in the First Year Common Engineering examination and has opted to study Mechanical Engineering in the second year of study.
    Meinhardt Book PrizeThe book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student with highest aggregate marks for 'MA2002 Theory of Mechanism', 'MA2003 Introduction to Thermo-fluids' and 'MA2007 Thermodynamics' in the second year examination for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    NTU Class of 1985 Cash Prizes Award

    The cash award is awarded to a student who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with highest aggregate marks in 'HW0288 Engineering Communication II' and 'MA0101 Engineers and Society' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).

    Professional Attachment Book Prize
    ​The book prize (cash award) of  is awarded to a student with best overall
    performance in Professional Attachment for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering
    (Mechanical Engineering) or the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering).

    Professional Engineers Board Gold MedalThe medal is awarded to a graduating student who has passed the final year examination with Honours (Highest Distinction) for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering); and has a distinguished record in either extra-curricular activities or public service in Singapore during the undergraduate period.
    Sembcorp Marine Book PrizeThe book prize (cash award) is awarded to an outstanding graduating student with specialization in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    Shell Gold Medal

    The medal is awarded to a student who has obtained at least an Honours (Distinction) with highest total aggregate marks in 'MA2079 Engineering Innovation & Design' and 'MA0101 Engineers and Society' for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).

    T.H. New Flow Visualization Award (FYP)
    Professor Daniel New is setting up an award for all FYP students, in the area of Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics.  The purpose of the award is to encourage FYP students to go into Fluid Dynamics/Aerodynamics research, to be inspired by flow visualizations to continue a career in research.
     
    • Four awards of $250 + a certificate will be awarded per academic year.
    • Instructions and the terms of conditions are spelt out in the template form .
    • All students who are currently doing their Final Year Project (FYP) are eligible to participate.
    • Submit the completed A4 form to the MAE Undergraduate Office by 31st  MAY (per academic year).
    • Each student is only allowed to make one submission.
    Vicom Book PrizeThe book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student who is best for 'MA2007 Thermodynamics' in the second year examination for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
    Vicom Gold Medal

    The medal is awarded to a final year student with highest aggregate marks in any two major prescribed electives from the Energy & Environment specialisation for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering):

    • MA4803 Noise and Vibration Control
    • MA4811 Psychrometry & Air conditioning
    • MA4813 Building Services Engineering
    Wearne Brothers Automotive Award (Cash Prize)The cash award is awarded to a student who has excelled in both academic performance and extra-curricular activities during the third year of study for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
