ICMAT-ASPM is organised in celebration of NTU’s recently completed Ultra-Low Vibration (ULV)  Laboratory for scanning tunneling microscopy at milliKelvin temperature (mK-STM)

Jointly organised by NTU (SPMS and IAS) and the Materials Research Society Singapore, ICMAT-ASPM aims to bring together local and international experts in advanced scanning probe microscopy with focus on the characterisation and control of quantum matter at atomic length-scales.

The workshop covers the following key areas, with relevance to future spintronics and quantum technologies:

• Atomic manipulation and atomic-scale lithography

• Properties of topological and/or strongly correlated quantum matter

• Properties of atomic-scale magnetic structures

• Characterisation and control of unconventional superconductivity

• Coherent control of spins at the atomic-scale

Also featuring the following distinguished speakers:

  • Prof Ralph Clasessen (Würzburg University)
  • Prof Michael S. Fuhrer (Monash University)
  • Prof Hongjun Gao (Chinese Academy of Sciences)
  • Prof Yukio Hasegawa (University of Tokyo)
  • Prof Jelena Klinovaja (University of Basel)
  • Prof Sven Rogge (UNSW)
  • Prof Michelle Simmons (UNSW)

and more …
