CEE Students Win Design Concept Exhibition Award at IDEERS 2025

CEE students, Teh Jun Tao, Chong Zhi Yong, Tan Kang Rui, and Pang Jia Qi, have clinched the Design Concept Exhibition Award at the Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS) 2025 held in Taiwan.
Through their courses at NTU CEE, the students built a strong foundation and was well-equipped to apply their knowledge to real-world construction challenges, including designing and constructing the 65cm-tall wooden structure.
With a solid understanding of seismic protection principles and structural analysis, the team evaluated and developed structural concepts that met the project requirements. This experience offered them the opportunity to strengthen their technical skills through the use of industry-standard software such as ETABS.
The team would like to extend their sincere appreciation to their supervisor, Associate Professor Li Bing, for his invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey.
About IDEERS 2025
