CEE Student Rachael Chan Receives IES Scholarship Award

At the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) 59th Annual Dinner, it announced its new scholarship scheme to support the next generation of engineers.
Among the six inaugural recipients was Rachael Chan, a second-year Civil Engineering student at NTU School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Rachael completed an internship at the Ministry of Manpower’s Occupational Safety and Health Division, where she applied AI and data analytics to improve safety processes. She shared that the scholarship serves as a strong source of motivation and hopes more young women will join fields such as engineering and data analytics.
The IES Scholarships are awarded to full-time students who demonstrate exceptional passion for engineering, strong academic performance, and active participation in co-curricular activities.
