CEE Alumni Honoured with BCA Design and Engineering Safety Award 2025

Er. Chua Tong Seng
Our heartiest congratulations to Er. Chua Tong Seng (Civil & Structural Engineering, Class of 1986) and Er. Michelle Lew (Civil Engineering, Class of 2002) on receiving the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Design and Engineering Safety Award 2025 in the Civil Engineering category for the project of T226 of the Thomson East Coast Line, Marina Bay Station (SCL Tunnels).

The awards recognise the significant works of structural engineers and their project teams, recognising their leadership in ensuring safety excellence across a project's life cycle, from design to construction, and maintenance.
Er. Chua Tong Seng is currently the Managing Director of the Singapore branch of the leading geotechnical consulting firm, Kiso-Jiban, known for its comprehensive capabilities in geotechnical engineering, which include subsurface investigation, soil and rock mechanics, engineering geology, foundation analysis and design, and groundwater management.
Er. Michelle Lew, Director at Kiso-Jiban Singapore, is a registered PE in civil engineering and a specialised PE in geotechnical engineering. She has been involved in major underground infrastructure projects.
