CEE Alumni Honoured at Nanyang Alumni Awards 2025

Congratulations to our CEE alumni who received the Nanyang Alumni Awards!

Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award:

  • Er Tham Wai Wah, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, BEng / Class of 1991

Er Tham Wai Wah is a pioneering engineering leader whose strategic foresight, engineering acumen and commitment to sustainability have helped shape Singapore’s maritime and infrastructure landscape. He currently serves as Chief Engineer and Senior Director of the Engineering & Project Management Division at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and was MPA’s first Chief Sustainability Officer from June 2019 to June 2025.  

Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award:

  • Mr Alwyn Rusli, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, BEng / Class of 2017

Mr Rusli is a founding member of Trihill Capital's Private Investment arm, where he partners with early-growth and growth-stage companies to accelerate their development into successful enterprises through capital, strategic insights, and networks. He actively engages with and holds board roles in many core portfolio companies across diverse sectors, including consumer packaged goods, retail, logistics and supply chain, and financial services.   

  • Mr Andi Sanjaya Tjong, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, BEng / Class of 2010

Mr Tjong currently serves as the Indonesia Country Lead – Principal / Partner at BG&E Group, a renowned civil, structural, and built environment consulting firm. Since joining in 2018, he has led the firm’s operations and strategic initiatives in Indonesia, overseeing a portfolio of multi-billion-dollar projects spanning infrastructure, healthcare, residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments across Southeast Asia.   

Nanyang Alumni Service Award: 

  • Mr Tan Wee Siong Albert, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, BEng / Class of 2006

Mr Tan has been a stalwart member of the NTUAA (Malaysia), serving as its third-term Vice President (Malacca) from 2019 to 2022, fourth-term Vice President (South) from 2022 to 2024 and is currently the fifth-term Vice President (South).
