NTU-SJTU Double Master's

Jointly offered by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China, the NTU-SJTU Double Master’s programme is designed to provide finance students a unique cross-border learning opportunity and broadening the scope of academic curriculum.

Students will complete the Master of Science in Finance at SJTU in their first year and either the Master of Science in Finance (MSc Finance) or Master of Science in Financial Engineering at NTU in their second year.

Graduates will be awarded NTU’s MSc Finance or MSc Financial Engineering degree and SJTU’s Master of Science in Finance degree upon completing the Double Master’s programme.

 

 

Curriculum

The double master’s degree will be delivered in two stages at both universities.

In the first year, students will study at SJTU, where they are expected to complete all courses mandated by their Master of Science in Finance programme. In their second year, students will transition to NTU’s MSc Finance or MSc Financial Engineering programme.

 

 

Admissions

Applicants are required to submit an application to SJTU’s Master of Science in Finance and be accepted for consideration for the NTU-SJTU Double Master’s Programme.

Admissions Requirements1

  1. A good bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  2. A good GMAT or GRE score2
  3. TOEFL score ≥ 100 or IELTS score ≥ 6.5 if undergraduate degree was not taught exclusively in English language
  4. Work experience is preferred but not required

The above are minimum admission requirements. Meeting these criteria does not guarantee admission, as selection is competitive.

NTU Enrolment Fee S$21,800 (inclusive of GST1, payable upon acceptance of the offer and is non-refundable. It will be deductible from the full tuition fee)

Scholarships

ASEAN Development Scholarship

This partial scholarship is awarded to nationals of ASEAN member countries (excluding Singapore) as part of NBS’s effort to accelerate economic and social progress in the Member States of ASEAN. Recipients may receive up to 90% funding towards their tuition fee.

Scholarship applicants must possess strong academic records, demonstrated leadership qualities and potential, and for working professionals, a strong career progression. A complete online application including the scholarship section, and required supporting documents must be submitted by the first round application deadline to be eligible for the ASEAN Development Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must showcase a distinctive background, demonstrate how it enhances the broader understanding of diversity, and possess a track record of success in initiatives or activities that promote diversity within their communities or workplaces.

Applications for the scholarship must be submitted before the first application deadline.

  

Diversity Scholarship

The Diversity Scholarship aims to cultivate a vibrant community by supporting individuals who bring unique perspectives and experiences to the programme and the NBS community. Diversity encompasses a broad range of dimensions, including but not limited to ethnicity, gender, and cultural heritage. Scholarship applicants are encouraged to define diversity in a way that reflects their personal journeys and experiences. Each scholarship awarded covers 40% of the tuition fees.
