Associate Professor Rei Kinjo receives Distinguished Young Chemist Award

Associate Professor Rei Kinjo, a faculty member in SPMS, has received the 2019 Distinguished Young Chemist Award from the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS).

The award is presented each year by the FACS to a researcher under the age of 40 who has made important contributions to the field of inorganic chemistry. This year's award was won by Associate Professor Kinjo in recognition of his development of novel methods for synthesizing inorganic chemical compounds. He will formally receive the award and deliver an invited talk about his research at the Asian Chemical Congress, to be held in Taipei in December 2019.

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences warmly congratulates Associate Professor Kinjo for his accomplishment.
