The structure of the Bachelor Engineering (Materials Engineering) with a Second Major in Medical Biology programme integrates the requirements of both majors within the typical candidature of 4 years.
Students must meet all requirements of the principal programme and fulfil the following conditions:
- complete a Biomaterials-related Final Year Project, and
- choose at least 2 major prescribed electives from a list
Students will read compulsory courses and choose three from a given list from the second major programme.
The curriculum comprises courses from the Materials Engineering programme and foundation courses for the Second Major in Medical Biology, such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology. In addition, students will take three electives from a selected list of courses.
