Dr Ma Weihua

Dr Ma Weihua was an Executive Director as well as the President and CEO of China Merchants Bank, concurrently served as the Chairman of the board of directors for Wing Lung Bank Ltd., CIGNA & CMC Life Insurance Company Ltd. and China Merchants Fund Management Co., Ltd. (CMFM). He holds a PhD in Economics. Dr Ma was a Deputy to the 10th National People’s Congress (NPC), a member of the 11th and the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He holds positions in many organisations currently, including the chairman of National fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization (NFTTC), the chairman of China Global Philanthropy Institute, and the chairman of One Foundation. Dr Ma also teaches as an adjunct professor in several top Chinese universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University. In March 2019, Dr Ma was appointed as Chairman of SDG Financing Advisory Committee and UNDP China Special Advisor.

Before joining China Merchants Bank, Dr Ma served on multiple government positions, including Director of the Party Office in CPC Liao Ning Committee and CPC An Hui Committee, Deputy Director of the General Office of PBC, Deputy Director of the Finance and Planning Office of PBC, as well as Governor of PBC Hainan Branch and Chief of SAFE Hainan Branch. 

马蔚华先生，原招商银行股份有限公司执行董事、行长兼首席执行官，经济学博士，曾兼任香港永隆银行、招商信诺人寿保险有限公司和招商基金管理有限公司董事长。曾任第十届全国人大代表, 第十一届、十二届全国政协委员，现任国家科技成果转化引导基金理事长、国际公益学院董事会主席、社会价值投资联盟主席、壹基金理事长和北京大学、清华大学等多所高校兼职教授等职, 并被联合国开发计划署驻华处聘为特别顾问、可持续发展金融顾问委员会主席。

加入招商银行前，马蔚华先生曾任辽宁省计委副处长、副秘书长，中共辽宁省委、中共安徽省委办公厅处长，中国人民银行办公厅副主任、计划资金司副司长，中国人民银行海南省分行行长兼国家外汇管理局海南省分局局长。 ​​​​​​​​
