Adjunct Assistant Professor Vitali Lipik

R&D Director
Sportmaster Group

Current Research Interests
Dr Vitali Lipik’s research interest focuses on the different materials for sport application. Significant amount of his research concerns textile for sport apparel and textile for protection against cold. Another area of research touches polymers and polymeric composites which are used for sport equipment production as well as for sport shoes. Especial interest is assigned for shape memory polymers and polymeric foam. Separate area of Dr Vital Lipik’s research interest is located in carbon material starting from carbon fiber synthesis up to carbon felt for termoinsulation.

Biographical Information
Dr Vitali Lipik received his PhD in technical science based on a joint program between the Belarusian State Technological University and University Montpellier 2 in 2003. After that, he worked as a research fellow in the group of Professor Marc Abadie in University Montpellier 2, and as an Assistant Professor at Belarusian State Technological University. Areas of work included polymers processing, polymer metallization and polymeric waste recycling. In 2008, Vitali Lipik moved to Singapore and started working in the group of Professor Subbu S Venkatraman as a Research Fellow. The subject of work was a synthesis of biodegradable polymers. Vitali Lipik has been working as a Consultant for ceEntek Pte Ltd in the area of carbon nanomaterial.

Currently, Vitali Lipik is an R&D Director of Sportmaster Group of Companies, which is in the World Top Ten companies in sport apparel and equipment.
