Nanosun Wins Sustainability Award 2025 by IES

Nanosun, a spin-off from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, has been honoured with the Sustainability Award 2025 by the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) at its 59th Annual Dinner held on 3 November 2025.

The event, attended by close to 1,200 guests, was graced by Mr Chan Chun Sing, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence, as the Guest-of-Honour.

Nanosun was recognised for its groundbreaking work in addressing the challenge of water recovery from high strength wastewater from Croda and PUB by reinventing an innovative nanobubble Catalytic Oxidation System (n-COS). The Singapore-based company won the Jurong Island Innovation Challenge (JIIC) 2021 supported by ESG and JTC.

In early 2025, Croda Singapore partnered with Nanosun to construct an advanced wastewater treatment facility at its Seraya manufacturing site on Jurong Island, marking a milestone in addressing complex industrial wastewater challenges.
