Biography
Kotohiro Nomura is a Professor of Chemistry at Tokyo Metropolitan University. He obtained his M.S. from the University of Tokyo, Ph.D. from Osaka University, and completed a postdoc at MIT. He previously served as Associate Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (1998–2009). His recent accolades include the Catalysis Society of Japan Award (2019), the Japan Petroleum Institute Award (2024), and the Society of Polymer Science, Japan Award (2024). He serves as Section Editor-in-Chief of Catalysts and sits on the editorial boards of Molecular Catalysis, Catalysts, and Industrial Chemistry & Materials.
His research focuses on transition metal catalysis for olefin transformations, precision polymer synthesis, and green, sustainable chemistry.
