Biography

Prof. Xin-Yuan Liu is Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in 2010, followed by postdoctoral research at both the University of Hong Kong and The Scripps Research Institute. Since joining SUSTech in 2012, he has advanced to Chair Professor, leading groundbreaking work in asymmetric catalytic radical chemistry. He has published over 110 papers in top journals such as Science, Nature, Nature Chemistry, Nature Catalysis, JACS, and Angewandte Chemie. His research excellence has earned him prestigious honors, including the XPLORER Prize, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and multiple international lectureships.
