Flow cytometry is a laser-based technology that rapidly analyzes the physical and chemical characteristics of single cells or particles as they flow in a fluid stream. It evaluates thousands of cells per second to provide highly detailed data on cell size, internal complexity, and specific protein or molecular markers.

  • Internal Users are to use the Online Facilities Booking System to book their usage at least a day in advance.
  • For Cell-Sorter, no cancellations 24h prior to the time-slot is allowed.
  • New and inexperienced users are to contact the Dr Abdul Rashid to attend a two-hour training before they are allowed to use the flow-cytometers
  • Users are encouraged to email the contact in-charge for discussion of experiments and use of equipment
