Congratulations to ADM Alumni Alecia Neo @alecianeo, Samuel Woo (Class of 2009) and Athirah Annissa @athrh00 (Class of 2021) for their project, Unseen: Constellations! Unseen: Constellations explore social issues in regards to blindness in society through the voices of youths living with visual-impairment.
Repost from @alecianeo
"We’ve been using this small, but I believe important space to experiment with what it means to co-exist with difference, understand our interdependence, and what it means to care for one another when it does not “reward” us in typical ways that we’re used to in our capitalist systems. These years of running the platform and working with people who have challenged me in numerous ways, has also contributed deeply to my research on care practices."
Move Forward (Unseen: Inside Out) will be shown at @lighttonightsg at National Gallery Singapore @nationalgallerysingapore. Performer @cl_aire.teo will be the lead artist for this work. @alecianeo will also be moderating the artist talk on Sunday 23 Jan, 2pm - 3pm at National Gallery on the process of making this disability-led work.
This talk will feature artists Claire Teo @cl_aire.teo, Kira Lim @kiralimsoprano, Samuel Woo @moonoloco and Clarence Chung @classicsquire.
